The Gerster Trane Energy Services Education Team focuses on the needs of education facilities.  We work with many schools, Colleges and Universities in Western New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania specializing in turnkey, electrical, mechanical, water, and energy driven projects.

What We Do:
Our projects reduce utility costs and improve student and faculty comfort.  We make all aspects of a building more efficient creating a facility that is more competitive and more productive.  We add value by reducing the cost of capital improvements through incentive programs and financing.

Gerster Trane Strategic K-12 Goals:

1.  Improve student test scores and attendance, and retain teachers. This can be achieved through the creation of high-performance schools (See the EPA website)

    • We manage temperature from the coldest, hottest, or most humid day of the year without compromising health, comfort and performance.
    • We maintain the highest standards for indoor air quality including contaminant source control, ventilation, humidity control and filtration.

2.  Help schools manage their assets and their pocketbooks
    • We help schools save 30-40% on utility costs each year for new schools and 20-30% on renovated schools by applying sustainable designs and construction concepts.

Pennsylvania Guaranteed Energy Savings Act:

Gerster Energy Services is an Approved Energy Services Company (ESCO) in the state of Pennsylvania, specializing in turnkey electrical, mechanical, and energy driven projects. Our education team is dedicated to solving the unique challenges and requirements facing K-12 schools. Our professional engineers, certified energy managers, and engineers on staff have the background and experience necessary to implement energy and environmental solutions in education facilities.

We are working with the Pennsylvania Department of General Services to complete energy performance projects at K-12 schools across the state. These projects are self- financed by the savings accumulated through various energy projects completed at the school. Apart from saving your school energy, these projects will also make the space more comfortable, productive, safe, and enhance the overall learning environment.
